to despise, treat with contempt (Verb)

Luke 18:9. And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

Luke 23:11. And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

Acts 4:11. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Romans 14:3. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
