2 Samuel 18:32. And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against thee to do thee hurt, be as that young man is.
2 Samuel 19:7. Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.

Nehemiah 13:18. Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

Job 1:5. Job 2:10. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
Job 2:11. Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.
Job 4:12. Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.
Job 5:5. Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
Job 5:19. He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
Job 5:21. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

Proverbs 16:2. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
Proverbs 16:9. A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Proverbs 16:12. It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
Proverbs 16:17. The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
Proverbs 16:22. Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
Proverbs 16:27. An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
Proverbs 16:28. A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
Proverbs 16:30. He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
Proverbs 17:4. A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
Proverbs 17:11. An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.
Proverbs 17:12. Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly.
Proverbs 17:13. Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.
Proverbs 17:16. Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?
Proverbs 17:20. He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.
Proverbs 18:3. When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
Proverbs 18:6. A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
Proverbs 19:6. Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts.
Proverbs 19:27. Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.
Proverbs 20:30. The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.
Proverbs 21:12. The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
Proverbs 21:26. He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.
Proverbs 22:8. He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.
Proverbs 22:14. The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
Proverbs 24:1. Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
Proverbs 24:10. If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
Proverbs 24:16. For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Proverbs 30:11. There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Proverbs 30:12. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Proverbs 30:13. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
Proverbs 30:14. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
Ecclesiastes 5:1. Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
Ecclesiastes 9:2. All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
Ecclesiastes 9:12. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
Wisdom of Solomon 14:22. And it was not enough for them to err about the knowledge of God, but whereas they lived in a great war of ignorance, they call so many and so great evils peace.
Wisdom of Solomon 14:27. For the worship of abominable idols is the cause, and the beginning and end of all evil.
Wisdom of Solomon 15:6. The lovers of evil things deserve to have no better things to trust in, both they that make them, and they that love them, and they that worship them.
Wisdom of Solomon 15:12. Yea, and they have counted our life a pastime and the business of life to be gain, and that we must be getting every way, even out of evil.

Sirach 7:1. Do no evils, and no evils shall lay hold of thee.
Sirach 11:14. Good things and evil, life and death, poverty and riches, are from God.
Sirach 11:25. Say not: What need I, and what good shall I have by this?
Sirach 11:31. Bring not every man into thy house: for many are the snares of the deceitful.
Sirach 12:3. For there is no good for him that is always occupied in evil, and that giveth no alms: for the Highest hateth sinners, and hath mercy on the penitent.
Sirach 12:5. Give to the good, and receive not a sinner.
Sirach 12:8. A friend shall not be known in prosperity, and an enemy shall not be hidden in adversity.
Sirach 12:9. In the prosperity of a man, his enemies are grieved: and a friend is known in his adversity.
Sirach 12:17. And if evils come upon thee, thou shalt find him there first.
Sirach 13:25. When a rich man is shaken, he is kept up by his friends: but when a poor man is fallen down, he is thrust away even by his acquaintance.
Sirach 17:7. He set his eye upon their hearts to shew them the greatness of his works:
Sirach 18:8. The number of the days of men at the most are a hundred years, as a drop of water of the sea are they esteemed: and as a pebble of the sand, so are a few years compared to eternity.
Sirach 20:9. There is success in evil things to a man without discipline, and there is a finding that turneth to loss.
Sirach 20:18. For they that eat his bread, are of a false tongue. How often, and how many will laugh him to scorn!

Sirach 31:13. Say not: There are many things which are upon it.
Sirach 33:1. No evils shall happen to him that feareth the Lord, but in temptation God will keep him and deliver him from evils.

Isaiah 7:16. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
Isaiah 13:11. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Jeremiah 11:11. Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
Jeremiah 11:12. Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
Jeremiah 11:17. For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
Jeremiah 11:23. And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.
Jeremiah 13:23. Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
Jeremiah 14:8. O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?
Jeremiah 14:16. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
Jeremiah 15:11. The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
Jeremiah 16:10. And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
Jeremiah 16:19. O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
Jeremiah 18:8. If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
Jeremiah 18:11. Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
Jeremiah 18:20. Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them.
Jeremiah 19:3. And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
Jeremiah 19:15. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
Jeremiah 21:10. For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.
Jeremiah 23:12. Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 23:17. They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 32:23. And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

Jeremiah 44:9. Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
Jeremiah 44:17. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
Jeremiah 44:23. Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
Jeremiah 45:5. And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.

Baruch 4:18. But he that hath brought the evils upon you, he will deliver you out of the hands of your enemies.
Baruch 4:29. For he that hath brought evils upon you, shall bring you everlasting joy again with your salvation.
Ezekiel 14:22. Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
Ezekiel 20:44. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Daniel 7:24. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
Daniel 9:12. And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

1 Maccabees 15:19. It hath seemed good therefore to us, to write to the kings and countries, that they should do them no harm, nor fight against them, their cities, or countries: and that they should give no aid to them that fight against them.
1 Maccabees 16:17. And he committed a great treachery in Israel, and rendered evil for good.

2 Maccabees 9:28. Thus the murderer and blasphemer being grievously struck, as himself had treated others, died a miserable death in a strange country, among the mountains.
