Sirach 25:15. Blessed is the man, to whom it is given to have the fear of God: he that holdeth it, to whom shall he be likened?

Sirach 26:5. Of three things my heart hath been afraid, and at the fourth my face hath trembled:

Sirach 29:13. Lose thy money for thy brother and thy friend: and hide it not under a stone to be lost.

Sirach 29:15. Shut up alms in the heart of the poor, and it shall obtain help for thee against all evil.

Sirach 30:16. There is no riches above the riches of the health of the body: and there is no pleasure above the joy of the heart.

Sirach 30:17. Better is death than a bitter life, and everlasting rest, than continual sickness.

Sirach 40:20. Wine and music rejoice the heart, but the love of wisdom is above them both.

Sirach 40:21. The flute and the psaltery make a sweet melody, but a pleasant tongue is above them both.

Sirach 40:22. Thy eye desireth favour and beauty, but more than these green sown fields.

Sirach 40:23. A friend and companion meeting together in season, but above them both is a wife with her husband.

Sirach 40:24. Brethren are a help in the time of trouble, but mercy shall deliver more than they.

Sirach 40:25. Gold and silver make the feet stand sure: but wise counsel is above them both.

Sirach 40:26. Riches and strength lift up the heart: but above these is the fear of the Lord.

Sirach 40:27. There is no want in the fear of the Lord, and it needeth not to seek for help.

Sirach 49:16. No man was born upon earth like Henoch: for he also was taken up from the earth.

Sirach 51:9. And my life was drawing near to hell beneath.

Isaiah 31:5. As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

Ezekiel 45:22. And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock for a sin offering.

Ezekiel 45:23. And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily for a sin offering.

Ezekiel 45:25. In the seventh month, in the fifteenth day of the month, shall he do the like in the feast of the seven days, according to the sin offering, according to the burnt offering, and according to the meat offering, and according to the oil.

Ezekiel 46:20. Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they bear them not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people.

Daniel 1:20. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

Daniel 2:30. But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.

Daniel 3:22. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Daniel 4:19. Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

Daniel 6:5. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Daniel 7:16. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.

Daniel 7:24. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

2 Maccabees 14:39. So Nicanor being willing to declare the hatred that he bore the Jews, sent five hundred soldiers to take him.

2 Maccabees 15:30. And Judas, who was altogether ready, in body and mind, to die for his countrymen, commanded that Nicanor's head, and his hand, with the shoulder, should be cut off, and carried to Jerusalem.
