the sufferings

περισσεύω

Christ.

whether

we be afflicted,

θλίβω

it is for

ὑπέρ

your

ὑμῶν

consolation

παράκλησις

and

salvation,

σωτηρία

which

is effectual

ἐνεργέω

the enduring

ὑπομονή

of the same

αὐτός

sufferings

πάθημα

which

ὅς

we

ἡμεῖς

also

suffer:

πάσχω

or whether

εἴτε

we be comforted,

παρακαλέω

it is for

ὑπέρ

consolation

παράκλησις

salvation.

to us

Asia,

Ἀσία

we were pressed

βαρέω

of measure,

ὑπερβολή

above

ὑπέρ

strength,

insomuch

despaired

of life:

the sentence

the means of many

persons

thanks may be

on our behalf.

the testimony

conscience,

godly

sincerity,

εἰλικρίνεια

ἐν

fleshly

wisdom,

the grace

we have had our conversation
