is the third

time I am coming

ἔρχομαι

to

πρός

you.

ὑμᾶς

τρεῖς

witnesses

μάρτυς

shall

ἵστημι

every

πᾶς

word

ῥῆμα

be established.

ἵστημι

I told you before,

προερέω

and

foretell you,

προλέγω

as if

ὡς

I were present,

πάρειμι

the second

δεύτερος

time; and

καί

being absent

ἄπειμι

now

νῦν

I write

γράφω

to them which heretofore have sinned,

προαμαρτάνω

and

καί

to all

πᾶς

other,

λοιπός

that,

ὅτι

if

ἐάν

I come

ἔρχομαι

again,

εἰς

πάλιν

I will

φείδομαι

not

οὐ

spare:

φείδομαι

ye seek

ζητέω

a proof

δοκιμή

of Christ

Χριστός

speaking

λαλέω

in

ἐν

me,

ἐμοί

which

ὅς

to

εἰς

you-ward

ὑμᾶς

is

ἀσθενέω

not

οὐ

weak,

ἀσθενέω

but

ἀλλά

is mighty

δυνατέω

in

ἐν

you.

ὑμῖν

For

γάρ

καί

though

εἰ

he was crucified

σταυρόω

through

ἐκ

weakness,

ἀσθένεια

yet

ἀλλά

he liveth

ζάω

by

ἐκ

the power

δύναμις

of God.

γάρ

we

ἡμεῖς

also

καί

are weak

ἀσθενέω

in

ἐν

him,

αὐτός

but

ἀλλά

we shall live

ζάω

with

σύν

him

αὐτός

by

ἐκ

the power

δύναμις

of God

toward

εἰς

you.

Examine

πειράζω

yourselves,

ἑαυτοῦ

whether

εἰ

ye be

ἐστέ

in

ἐν

the faith;

πίστις

prove

δοκιμάζω

your own selves.

ἑαυτοῦ

ἤ

Know ye

ἐπιγινώσκω

not

οὐ

your own selves,

ἑαυτοῦ

how that

ὅτι

Jesus

Ἰησοῦς

Christ

Χριστός

is

ἐστί

in

ἐν

you,

ὑμῖν

except

εἰ

ye be

ἐστέ

reprobates?

τις

ἀδόκιμος

I trust

ἐλπίζω

that

ὅτι

ye shall know

γινώσκω

that

ὅτι

we

ἡμεῖς

are

ἐσμέν

not

οὐ

reprobates.

I pray

εὔχομαι

to

πρός

God

θεός

that ye

ὑμᾶς

do

μή

ποιέω

no

μηδείς

evil;

κακός

not

οὐ

that

ἵνα

we

ἡμεῖς

should appear

φαίνω

approved,

δόκιμος

but

ἀλλά

that

ἵνα

ye

ὑμεῖς

should do

ποιέω

that which is honest,

καλός

though

δέ

we

ἡμεῖς

be

ὦ

as

ὡς

reprobates.

ἀδόκιμος

γάρ

we can do

δύναμαι

nothing

οὐ

τις

against

κατά

the truth,

ἀλήθεια

but

ἀλλά

for

ὑπέρ

the truth.

ἀλήθεια

For

γάρ

we

ἡμεῖς

are glad,

χαίρω

when

ὅταν

we are weak,

ἀσθενέω

and

δέ

ye

ὑμεῖς

are

ὦ

strong:

δυνατός

and

δέ

this

τοῦτο

also

καί

we wish,

εὔχομαι

even your

ὑμῶν

perfection.

Therefore

τοῦτο

διά

I write

γράφω

these things

ταῦτα

being absent,

ἄπειμι

lest

ἵνα

being present

πάρειμι

I should use

χράομαι

sharpness,

ἀποτόμως

according

κατά

to the power

ἐξουσία

which

ὅς

the Lord

κύριος

hath given

δίδωμι

me

μοί

to

εἰς

edification,

οἰκοδομή

and

καί

not

οὐ

to

εἰς

destruction.

καθαίρεσις

Benediction and Farewell

Finally,

λοιπόν

brethren,

ἀδελφός

farewell.

χαίρω

Be perfect,

καταρτίζω

be of good comfort,

παρακαλέω

be of one

αὐτός

mind,

φρονέω

live in peace;

εἰρηνεύω

and

καί

the God

θεός

of love

ἀγάπη

and

καί

peace

εἰρήνη

shall be

ἔσομαι

with

μετά

you.

ὑμῶν
