Moreover,

of the grace

bestowed

the churches

ἐκκλησία

of Macedonia;

trial

δοκιμή

of affliction

θλῖψις

the abundance

περισσεία

of their

αὐτός

joy

χαρά

their

αὐτός

deep

βάθος

poverty

abounded

περισσεύω

unto

εἰς

the riches

πλοῦτος

of their

αὐτός

liberality.

their power,

δύναμις

I bear record,

μαρτυρέω

yea, and

beyond

ὑπέρ

their power

δύναμις

they were willing of themselves;

intreaty

παράκλησις

that we

ἡμᾶς

would receive

the gift,

take upon us the fellowship

of the ministering

εἰς

the saints.

this they did, not

as

καθώς

we hoped,

ἐλπίζω

ἀλλά

first

πρῶτον

gave

their own selves

ἑαυτοῦ

to the Lord,

unto us

the will

θέλημα

of God.

Insomuch

that we

ἡμᾶς

desired

παρακαλέω

Titus,

καθώς

he had begun,

προενάρχομαι

he would

ἐπιτελέω

finish

ἐπιτελέω

in

εἰς

you

ὑμᾶς

the same

ταύτῃ

grace

χάρις

also.

Therefore,

as

ὥσπερ

ye abound

περισσεύω

in

ἐν

every

πᾶς

thing, in faith,

πίστις

and

utterance,

λόγος

knowledge,

γνῶσις

diligence,

σπουδή

in your

ὑμῶν

love

ἀγάπη

ἐκ

to

ἐν

us,

ἡμῖν

see that

ἵνα

ye abound

περισσεύω

ἐν

this

ταύτῃ

grace

also.

κατά

commandment,

ἐπιταγή

but

ἀλλά

by occasion

of the forwardness

σπουδή

of others,

to prove

δοκιμάζω

the sincerity

love.

γινώσκω

the grace

χάρις

Lord

Jesus

Christ,

that,

though he was

ὤν

rich,

πλούσιος

yet for

your

ὑμᾶς

sakes

διά

he became poor,

πτωχεύω

that

ἵνα

ye

ὑμεῖς

through his

ἐκεῖνος

poverty

might be rich.

my advice:

is expedient

μόνον

to do,

but

ἀλλά

καί

to be forward

θέλω

a year

ago.

the doing

of it; that

ὅπως

καθάπερ

there was a readiness

to will,

there may be a performance

out of

ἐκ

that which ye have.

if there

be first

πρόκειμαι

a willing mind,

προθυμία

it is accepted

εὐπρόσδεκτος

according to

καθό

that

ἐάν

a man

hath,

ἔχω

and not

οὐ

according to that

καθό

ἔχω

not.

I mean not

other men

be eased,

ἄνεσις

burdened:

an equality,

ἰσότης

that now

νῦν

at

ἐν

this time

καιρός

your

ὑμῶν

abundance

περίσσευμα

may be a supply for

εἰς

their

ἐκεῖνος

want,

ὑστέρημα

that

ἵνα

their

ἐκεῖνος

abundance

περίσσευμα

also

καί

may be

γίνομαι

a supply for

εἰς

your

ὑμῶν

want:

ὑστέρημα

that

ὅπως

there may be

γίνομαι

equality:

ἰσότης

the exhortation;

more forward,

σπουδαιότερος

of his own accord

he went

you.

him

the brother,

whose

ὅς

praise

ἔπαινος

ἐν

the gospel

the churches;

chosen

for honest things,

μόνον

in the sight

ἐνώπιον

of the Lord,

κύριος

ἀλλά

in the sight

ἐνώπιον

of men.

ἄνθρωπος

we have sent

συμπέμπω

with them

αὐτός

our

ἡμῶν

brother,

ἀδελφός

whom

ὅς

we have

δοκιμάζω

oftentimes

πολλάκις

proved

δοκιμάζω

ὤν

diligent

σπουδαῖος

in

ἐν

many things,

πολύς

but

δέ

now

νυνί

much

πολύς

more diligent,

σπουδαιότερος

upon the great

πολύς

confidence

πεποίθησις

which

ὁ

I have in

εἰς

you.

ὑμᾶς

Whether

εἴτε

any do enquire of

ὑπέρ

Titus,

Τίτος

he is my

ἐμός

partner

κοινωνός

and

καί

fellowhelper

συνεργός

concerning

εἰς

you:

ὑμᾶς

or

εἴτε

our

ἡμῶν

brethren

ἀδελφός

be enquired of, they are the messengers

ἀπόστολος

of the churches,

ἐκκλησία

and the glory

δόξα

of Christ.

Wherefore

οὖν

shew ye

ἐνδείκνυμι

to

εἰς

them,

αὐτός

and

καί

before

εἰς

πρόσωπον

the churches,

ἐκκλησία

the proof

ἔνδειξις

of your

ὑμῶν

love,

ἀγάπη

and

καί

of our

ἡμῶν

boasting

καύχησις

on

ὑπέρ

your

ὑμῶν

behalf.
