the Lord of glory,

respect of persons.

unto

εἰς

assembly

συναγωγή

a man

ἀνήρ

with a gold ring,

chrysodaktylios

goodly

λαμπρός

apparel,

ἐσθής

and

δέ

there come in

εἰσέρχομαι

also

καί

a poor man

πτωχός

in

ἐν

vile

ῥυπαρός

raiment;

ἐσθής

ye have respect

ἐπιβλέπω

to

ἐπί

him that weareth

φορέω

the gay

λαμπρός

clothing,

ἐσθής

and

say

unto him,

Sit

κάθημαι

thou

in a good place;

καλῶς

and

καί

say

to the poor,

πτωχός

Stand

ἵστημι

thou

σύ

there,

ἐκεῖ

or

ἤ

under

my

yourselves,

judges

κριτής

of evil

thoughts?

Hearken,

ἀκούω

my

μοῦ

beloved

ἀγαπητός

brethren,

ἀδελφός

Hath

ἐκλέγομαι

not

οὐ

God

θεός

chosen

ἐκλέγομαι

the poor

πτωχός

of this

τούτου

world

κόσμος

rich

πλούσιος

in

ἐν

faith,

πίστις

and

καί

heirs

κληρονόμος

of the kingdom

βασιλεία

which

ὅς

he hath promised

ἐπαγγέλλομαι

to them that love

ἀγαπάω

him?

have despised

ἀτιμάζω

the poor.

Do

καταδυναστεύω

not

οὐ

rich men

πλούσιος

oppress

καταδυναστεύω

you,

ὑμῶν

and

draw

ἑλκύω

you

ὑμᾶς

before

εἰς

the judgment seats?

blaspheme

that worthy

the which ye

are called?

ye fulfil

τελέω

the royal

βασιλικός

law

νόμος

according to

κατά

the scripture,

γραφή

Thou shalt love

ἀγαπάω

thy

σοῦ

neighbour

πλησίον

as

thyself,

σεαυτοῦ

ye do

ποιέω

well:

καλῶς

ye have respect to persons,

ye commit

ἐργάζομαι

sin,

ἁμαρτία

and are convinced

ἐλέγχω

of

the law

transgressors.

shall keep

the whole

law,

and yet

offend

point, he is

commit adultery,

μοιχεύω

yet if

thou kill,

φονεύω

thou art become

a transgressor

of the law.

they that shall be

judged

by

the law

of liberty.

he shall have judgment

κρίσις

without mercy,

ἀνέλεος

that hath shewed

ποιέω

no

μή

mercy;

ἔλεος

and

rejoiceth against

judgment.

a brother

naked,

γυμνός

destitute

of daily

ἐφήμερος

food,

unto them,

Depart

ὑπάγω

in

ἐν

peace,

εἰρήνη

be ye warmed

notwithstanding

those things which are needful

to the body;

righteousness:

δικαιοσύνη

he was called

the Friend

of God.

is justified,

Rahab

Ῥαάβ

the harlot

works,

ἔργον

when she had received

ὑποδέχομαι

the messengers,

ἄγγελος

and

καί

had sent them out

ἐκβάλλω

another

ἕτερος

way?

the spirit

πνεῦμα

dead,

also.
