mountain

apart,

κατά

was transfigured

μεταμορφόω

before

ἔμπροσθεν

them:

καί

his

αὐτός

face

πρόσωπον

did shine

λάμπω

as

ὡς

the sun,

ἥλιος

and

δέ

his

αὐτός

raiment

ἱμάτιον

was

γίνομαι

white

λευκός

as

ὡς

the light.

unto them

him.

Peter,

unto Jesus,

Lord,

it is

good

for us

ἡμᾶς

to be

εἶναι

here:

if

εἰ

thou wilt,

θέλω

let us make

ποιέω

here

ὧδε

three

τρεῖς

tabernacles;

σκηνή

one

μία

for thee,

σοί

and

καί

one

μία

for Moses,

Μωσῆς

and

καί

one

μία

for Elias.

spake,

behold,

ἰδού

a bright

φωτεινός

cloud

νεφέλη

overshadowed

ἐπισκιάζω

them:

ἰδού

a voice

φωνή

out of

ἐκ

the cloud,

νεφέλη

which said,

λέγω

This

οὗτος

is

ἐστί

my

μοῦ

beloved

ἀγαπητός

Son,

υἱός

in

ἐν

whom

ὅς

I am well pleased;

εὐδοκέω

hear ye

ἀκούω

him.

heard

it, they fell

face,

were sore

afraid.

and touched

them,

Arise,

when they had lifted up

ἐπαίρω

αὐτός

eyes,

ὀφθαλμός

they saw

οἶδα

no man,

οὐδείς

save

only.

came down

καταβαίνω

from

ἀπό

the mountain,

ὄρος

charged

ἐντέλλομαι

them,

αὐτός

saying,

Tell

the vision

ὅραμα

to no man,

μηδείς

until

ἕως

ὅς

the Son

υἱός

of man

ἄνθρωπος

be risen again

ἀνίστημι

from

ἐκ

the dead.

come?

unto them,

truly

shall first

πρῶτον

come,

ἔρχομαι

restore

ἀποκαθίστημι

all things.

Elias

is come

ἔρχομαι

already,

ἤδη

they knew

ἐπιγινώσκω

him

ἀλλά

have done

ποιέω

unto

ἐν

him

αὐτός

whatsoever

ὅσος

they listed.

θέλω

Likewise

οὕτως

shall

μέλλω

also

καί

the Son

υἱός

of man

ἄνθρωπος

suffer

πάσχω

of

ὑπό

them.

he spake

have mercy

on my

he is lunatick,

σεληνιάζομαι

sore

κακῶς

vexed:

πάσχω

γάρ

ofttimes

πολλάκις

he falleth

πίπτω

into

εἰς

the fire,

πῦρ

and

καί

oft

πολλάκις

into

εἰς

the water.

I brought

him

to thy

disciples,

they could

δύναμαι

not

cure

θεραπεύω

him.

Then

answered

ἀποκρίνομαι

and said,

O

ὦ

faithless

ἄπιστος

and

καί

perverse

διαστρέφω

generation,

γενεά

how long

ἕως

πότε

shall I be

ἔσομαι

with

μετά

you?

ὑμῶν

how long

ἕως

πότε

shall I suffer

ἀνέχομαι

you?

ὑμῶν

bring

φέρω

him

αὐτός

hither

ὧδε

to me.

rebuked

ἐπιτιμάω

the devil;

δαιμόνιον

he

departed

out of

him:

from

ἀπό

that very

ἐκεῖνος

hour.

Why

δύναμαι

ἐκβάλλω

him

out?

Because

unbelief:

ἀπιστία

for

verily

I say

ye have

ἔχω

faith

πίστις

as

ὡς

a grain

κόκκος

of mustard seed,

σίναπι

ye shall say

ἐρεῶ

unto this

τούτῳ

mountain,

ὄρος

Remove

μεταβαίνω

hence

ἐντεῦθεν

to yonder place;

ἐκεῖ

and

καί

it shall remove;

μεταβαίνω

and

καί

nothing

οὐδείς

shall be impossible

ἀδυνατέω

unto you.

Howbeit

this

τοῦτο

kind

γένος

goeth

ἐκπορεύομαι

not

οὐ

out

ἐκπορεύομαι

but

εἰ

by

ἐν

prayer

προσευχή

and

καί

fasting.

Galilee,

Jesus

betrayed

into

the hands

of men:

we should offend

the sea,

take up

αἴρω

the fish

ἰχθύς

that first

πρῶτον

cometh up;

when thou hast opened

ἀνοίγω

his

mouth,

στόμα

thou shalt find

εὑρίσκω

a piece of money:

στατήρ

that

ἐκεῖνος

take,

λαμβάνω

and give

δίδωμι

unto them

αὐτός

for

ἀντί

me

ἐμοῦ

and

καί

thee.

σοῦ
