And

there appeared

ὀπτάνομαι

a great

μέγας

wonder

σημεῖον

in

ἐν

heaven;

οὐρανός

a woman

γυνή

clothed

περιβάλλω

with the sun,

ἥλιος

and

καί

the moon

σελήνη

under

ὑποκάτω

her

αὐτός

feet,

πούς

and

καί

upon

ἐπί

her

αὐτός

head

κεφαλή

a crown

στέφανος

of twelve

δώδεκα

stars:

ἀστήρ

And

καί

she being

ἔχω

with

ἐν

child

γαστήρ

cried,

κράζω

travailing in birth,

ὠδίνω

and

καί

pained

βασανίζω

to be delivered.

And

καί

there appeared

ὀπτάνομαι

another

ἄλλος

wonder

σημεῖον

in

ἐν

heaven;

οὐρανός

and

καί

behold

ἰδού

a great

μέγας

red

πυρός

dragon,

δράκων

having

ἔχω

seven

ἑπτά

heads

κεφαλή

and

καί

ten

δέκα

horns,

κέρας

and

καί

seven

ἑπτά

crowns

διάδημα

upon

ἐπί

his

αὐτός

heads.

And

his

αὐτός

tail

οὐρά

drew

σύρω

the third part

τρίτος

of the stars

ἀστήρ

of heaven,

οὐρανός

and

καί

did cast

βάλλω

them

αὐτός

to

εἰς

the earth:

γῆ

and

καί

the dragon

δράκων

stood

ἵστημι

before

ἐνώπιον

the woman

γυνή

which

ὁ

was ready

μέλλω

to be delivered,

τίκτω

for

ἵνα

to devour

κατεσθίω

her

αὐτός

child

τέκνον

as soon as

ὅταν

it was born.

she brought forth

a man

ἄρσην

child,

υἱός

who

ὅς

was

μέλλω

to rule

ποιμαίνω

all

πᾶς

nations

ἔθνος

with

ἐν

a rod

ῥάβδος

of iron:

σιδήρεος

and

καί

her

αὐτός

child

τέκνον

was caught up

ἁρπάζω

unto

πρός

God,

θεός

and

καί

to his

αὐτός

throne.

the woman

fled

φεύγω

into

εἰς

the wilderness,

ἔρημος

where

ὅπου

she hath

ἔχω

a place

τόπος

prepared

ἑτοιμάζω

of

ἀπό

God,

θεός

that

ἵνα

they should feed

τρέφω

her

αὐτός

there

ἐκεῖ

a thousand

χίλιοι

two hundred

διακόσιοι

and threescore

ἑξήκοντα

days.

ἡμέρα

war

πόλεμος

in

ἐν

heaven:

οὐρανός

Michael

Μιχαήλ

and

καί

his

αὐτός

angels

ἄγγελος

fought

πολεμέω

against

κατά

the dragon;

δράκων

and

καί

the dragon

δράκων

fought

πολεμέω

and

καί

his

αὐτός

angels,

ἄγγελος

And

καί

prevailed

ἰσχύω

not;

οὐ

neither

οὔτε

was

εὑρίσκω

their

αὐτός

place

τόπος

found

εὑρίσκω

any more

ἔτι

in

ἐν

heaven.

οὐρανός

And

καί

the great

μέγας

dragon

δράκων

was cast out,

βάλλω

that old

ἀρχαῖος

serpent,

ὄφις

called

καλέω

the Devil,

διάβολος

and

καί

Satan,

Σατανᾶς

which

ὁ

deceiveth

πλανάω

the whole

ὅλος

world:

οἰκουμένη

he was cast out

βάλλω

into

εἰς

the earth,

γῆ

and

καί

his

αὐτός

angels

ἄγγελος

were cast out

βάλλω

with

μετά

him.

And

καί

I heard

ἀκούω

a loud

μέγας

voice

φωνή

saying

λέγω

in

ἐν

heaven,

οὐρανός

Now

ἄρτι

is come

γίνομαι

salvation,

σωτηρία

and

καί

strength,

δύναμις

and

καί

the kingdom

βασιλεία

of our

ἡμῶν

God,

θεός

and

καί

the power

ἐξουσία

of his

αὐτός

Christ:

Χριστός

for

ὅτι

the accuser

κατηγορέω

of our

ἡμῶν

brethren

ἀδελφός

is cast down,

καταβάλλω

which

ὁ

accused

κατήγορος

them

αὐτός

before

ἐνώπιον

our

ἡμῶν

God

θεός

day

ἡμέρα

and

καί

night.

νύξ

And

καί

they

αὐτός

overcame

νικάω

him

αὐτός

by

διά

the blood

αἷμα

of the Lamb,

ἀρνίον

and

καί

by

διά

the word

λόγος

of their

αὐτός

testimony;

μαρτυρία

and

καί

they loved

ἀγαπάω

not

οὐ

their

αὐτός

lives

ψυχή

unto

ἄχρι

the death.

Therefore

διά

τοῦτο

rejoice,

εὐφραίνω

ye heavens,

οὐρανός

and

καί

ye that dwell

σκηνόω

in

ἐν

them.

αὐτός

Woe

οὐαί

to the inhabiters

κατοικέω

of the earth

γῆ

and

καί

of the sea!

θάλασσα

for

ὅτι

the devil

διάβολος

is come down

καταβαίνω

unto

πρός

you,

ὑμᾶς

having

ἔχω

great

μέγας

wrath,

θυμός

because he knoweth

οἶδα

that

ὅτι

he hath

ἔχω

but a short

ὀλίγος

time.

καιρός

Woman Persecuted

And

καί

when

ὅτε

the dragon

δράκων

saw

οἶδα

that

ὅτι

he was cast

βάλλω

unto

εἰς

the earth,

γῆ

he persecuted

διώκω

the woman

γυνή

which

ὅστις

brought forth

τίκτω

the man

ἄρσην

child.

And

καί

to the woman

γυνή

were given

δίδωμι

two

δύο

wings

πτέρυξ

of a great

μέγας

eagle,

ἀετός

that

ἵνα

she might fly

πέτομαι

into

εἰς

the wilderness,

ἔρημος

into

εἰς

her

αὐτός

place,

τόπος

where

ὅπου

she is nourished

τρέφω

for a time,

ἐκεῖ

καιρός

and

καί

times,

καιρός

and

καί

half

ἥμισυς

a time,

καιρός

from

ἀπό

the face

πρόσωπον

of the serpent.

And

καί

the serpent

ὄφις

cast

βάλλω

out of

ἐκ

his

αὐτός

mouth

στόμα

water

ὕδωρ

as

ὡς

a flood

ποταμός

after

ὀπίσω

the woman,

γυνή

that

ἵνα

he might cause

ποιέω

her

ταύτῃ

to be carried away of the flood.

helped

βοηθέω

the woman,

γυνή

and

the earth

γῆ

opened

ἀνοίγω

her

αὐτός

mouth,

στόμα

and

καί

swallowed up

καταπίνω

the flood

which

ὅς

the dragon

δράκων

cast

βάλλω

out of

ἐκ

his

αὐτός

mouth.

And

καί

the dragon

δράκων

was wroth

ὀργίζω

with

ἐπί

the woman,

γυνή

and

καί

went

ἀπέρχομαι

to make

ποιέω

war

πόλεμος

with

μετά

the remnant

λοιπός

of her

αὐτός

seed,

σπέρμα

which

ὁ

keep

τηρέω

the commandments

ἐντολή

of God,

θεός

and

καί

have

ἔχω

the testimony

μαρτυρία

of Jesus

Ἰησοῦς

Christ.
